Can a participant be on different sides in different cases?

Each participant has one global side designation that applies across all cases. If an attorney represents different clients in different matters, their side designation reflects their current primary posture.

What participant roles are supported?

Attorney Workbench supports six roles: attorney, paralegal, pro se litigant, party, service provider, and court personnel. Each role has appropriate fields and visibility.

How do I find a participant across cases?

Use the global search bar from any page — type a name, firm, or email and matching participants appear instantly. You can also browse the full participant directory with sortable columns and filters.

Can I import participants from court records?

When you add a case, Attorney Workbench pulls party and attorney information from available court records. You can supplement with additional contact details and role assignments.

Is there a limit to how many participants a case can have?

No. Cases can have as many participants as needed. In complex multi-party litigation, all parties, their counsel, experts, and witnesses can be tracked.
